As a Brazilian I support the Cruzeiro do Sul tattoo. It is the first think I look up on the sky when the city allows me to see the stars.
There's also a legend that the constelation is actually the indígenous warrior Sepe Tiaraju, who fought in colonial times when Spain and Portugal were deciding which territory they would steal.
I used to feel an inclination towards coziness in the summer when I lived in Philly. The summer sun and humidity were so oppressive that the only activities I wanted to do were hang out at home in the a/c and watch spooky movies, lol. I would often turn down plans when it was so hot! Now that I live in Alaska, coziness is more of a moment-by-moment thing. Coziness is saved for early morning in the winter when the sun rises at 10am but also for the 2 week stretches of July when it rains every day. But when it's sunny, you best believe everyone is out and about - snow and ice or wildflowers and berries.
I love that we find similar cozy moments wherever we live! I moved to New Mexico so summer is bright, dry, and hot for a long time. I grab cozy at the humid 5:30am sunrise and our current July monsoon season! Just this weekend I stood out in the cold evening rain and immediately followed it with a hot shower. Delicious!!
I love this concept of looking for the "and." It reminds me of improv: Yes, and.... Holding two seemingly contradictory truths at once feels so human. So much of healing seems to be learning to resist choosing between them. I'm flawed AND whole. I'm grieving AND grateful.
It's such a treat still being able to follow along with your life so many years after "meeting" you, Mari. :) You've been beautiful and funny and profound at every stage, and it's especially meaningful to me to see how another Enneagram 4 integrates the constant need to process grief and pain and find deeper meaning in life into a life of joy and beauty.

I recommend watching the full interview on the PBS site along with the movie, The Tallest Dwarf, that was the occasion for it. I also have dwarfism and have been writing about the experience using a list of titles and prompts. You have just inspired me to move up "Superpower" for my next effort.
